Although, a steel-framed construction, the style and design were based on traditional Caribbean plantation houses so the feel of the property is more that of a large house, than a hotel.  The concept, to create an intimate and rather old-fashioned ambiance offering comfortable accommodation in a peaceful and pristine environment.  All guestrooms face the ocean and benefit from the same generous dimensions, high ceilings, jalousie shutters and verandas. Public rooms include a lounge, library and upstairs, a bar, dining room and outdoor dining terrace.

During the subsequent fourteen years as more rooms were added in cottages, Beau Rive became a favorite destination for many new and repeat visitors, as well as journalists and travel writers. The stellar reputation achieved was consistent, with 98 percent of its reviews on TripAdvisor rated as “excellent”, 1 percent as “very good” and 1 percent “Average”.

There is a total of 9  guestrooms with private shower, 2 reception rooms, entrance hall, cloakroom, office, laundry, staff room, cottage bedside the pool containing 2 guestrooms each with a private shower.

The main house wing contains six guestrooms, each with a private shower. All guest rooms are fitted with balconies, offering fantastic sea views. There is also one separate cottage in the garden with a private shower.

DAMAGE FROM HURRICANE MARIA:

The hotel suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Maria in 2017, but the steel frame structure of the main house remains in sound condition and as new. However, there is water damage to sections of the interior requiring the replacement of drywall (sheetrock) This has since been replaced.

The cottage beside the pool containing 2 guestrooms is undamaged.

Because of the property’s design, it could easily be reappointed as a private dwelling in various configurations including staff accommodation and an additional guest cottage.
